An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic therapist to join the Occupational Therapy Service at the Borders General Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and supervision to band 5 occupational therapists and therapy support workers and deputise for the team lead as required.
* Assess and treat patients with complex and challenging needs in acute medical, surgical, orthopaedics and major trauma settings, with the aim of maximising independence and facilitating prompt discharge.
* Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver ongoing CPD, supervision, appraisal and access to relevant in-service and external training.
Requirements and qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Driver (car)
