Applications are invited for the post of Locum Specialist in Breast Medicine (10PA) at the Cambridge Breast Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH). This post is to commence as soon as possible for a period of 6 months.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join a strong multidisciplinary team and will work within the new patient one stop clinics and follow-up clinics, with the possibility of supporting other activities within the Breast Unit as the role evolves. There will be in house training with the successful applicant within the clinics.
You will have completed a minimum of 12 years’ medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
