Job Description:

The Position

The Assistant Procurement Manager will assist with the planning, negotiation, and contracting for the procurement of goods, works, and services for RES’ renewable energy projects and clients. The role may involve leading procurement processes for specific packages of work.

Working in line with RES’ Mission and procurement strategies, the Assistant Procurement Manager will support the business to ensure compliant and efficient purchasing and contracting. Collaboration across internal teams and stakeholders is essential, and a flexible approach is required to handle various requests.

The role involves supporting Procurement Managers and the Commercial Director, and setting a positive example in business conduct with external partners.

Accountabilities
* Supporting procurement managers to deliver on RES’ mission and strategies.
* Developing relationships with development and construction stakeholders, ensuring high-quality procurement.
* Working with existing and new suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Promoting RES procurement strategies and processes.
* Preparing tender packages, conducting tendering, and awarding contracts.
* Supporting supplier onboarding, assessment, and feedback.
* Managing administrative activities like trackers, filing, and contract signing processes.

Knowledge

* Understanding procurement contracts and structures is desirable.
* Willingness to learn from team members and renewable energy concepts.
* Awareness of HSQE requirements in renewable energy.

Skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and accountability.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
* Proficiency with MS Office.

Experience

* Procurement experience and contract negotiation are desirable.

Qualifications

* Degree or relevant qualifications in procurement or equivalent experience.
