Based within the Oral Health Improvement Team, the successful applicant will be responsible for participating in the planning, quality assurance, delivery, training, and evaluation of the Supervised Toothbrushing Project and other oral health improvement programmes within the agreed service specification.
The successful applicant should have good organisational, social, and communication skills, patience, and the ability to influence clinical and non-clinical teams, as well as various other groups. A post-qualification qualification is desirable. The main purpose of the role is to:
* Reduce oral health and social inequality across Manchester
* Improve the oral health status of the 0-19 age population residing in Manchester
* Integrate and embed oral health promotion into the agendas and policies of Health, Social Care, Sure Start, Schools, and Early Years settings across Manchester
* Improve or maintain the oral health of older and vulnerable people residing in nursing, residential, and care settings
* Deliver programmes in line with the service specification across Manchester
* Facilitate and deliver training courses in own area of expertise
* Collaborate and work in partnership, developing and strengthening professional relationships to improve health outcomes
