Morson are recruiting for a CNC Miller, initially for 3-6 months, for a Motorsport Client based in South Oxfordshire. The roles may become more long-term. All roles are Inside IR35 therefore are to be offered at PAYE (£28.50 per hour PLUS £4.29 per hour holiday pay)/ OR Umbrella company (£39.02 per hour) Roles required: Shift: weekend - Friday to Sunday, 07:30 to 18:30 - (31.50 paid hours) Some overtime may be available) CNC Miller -Experience within Metallic and non metallic components -setting and operating fanuc/siemen controlled machining centres - Desirable Role overview: To carry out machining operations as directed by the Supervisor/Team Leader ensuring that all steps are taken to meet given deadlines. Ensure that the Supervisor/Team Leader is kept informed where machining problems are causing delays. Where appropriate, communicate and collaborate with TPP (Toolpath Programming) when solving problems machining first-off components and/or offer solutions that may further improve the quality or runtime of the job. To proactively liaise with both fellow machinists within the Machine Shop and other areas within the business to ensure best practice is established and utilised. Carry out all possible inspection during the machining of any first off components, establish that a first off is correct and ensure that the remainder of the batch meets the same standard. Ensure that all relevant shop floor data is collected and is accurately recorded using Data Collec-tion Software when required. Ensure communication to other shifts is thorough and accurate so that a smooth handover results in minimum loss in production time using written and verbal communication as necessary. All information pertaining to the running of the job must be clearly and accurately recorded to en-sure the smooth running of future demand using the preferred handover notebook. Communicate ideas and suggestions regarding more efficient / effective production to the Su-pervisor/Team Leader Key Accountabilities: Fulfil all organisational expectations, including but not limited to the following: Understand and work in line with Williams Values & Behaviours, encouraging others to do the same. Experience required: The need to run multiple machines and plan-ahead is regularly required. • Be able to demonstrate a good depth of machining knowledge both CNC and Manual in a low volume, high accuracy, fast paced prototype environment. Qualifications and Experience Level: • Possess a recognised apprenticeship or have gained relevant experience in a precision engineering environment. • A strong knowledge of setting and operating Fanuc/Siemens controlled machining centres preferable but not essential. • Previous experience using Hurco is advantageous. • Good level of knowledge manufacturing metallic and non-metallic components from aircraft grade metallic and high-quality engineering plastics.
