Overview

We require 3 Medical Secretaries to join our busy team, providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support within the Acute Service. We have available one post at 25.6 hours, one post at 36 hours, and one post at 29.6 hours.

This is a busy but rewarding post in a fast-based speciality with a high volume of patients. The post holder will be responsible for booking theatre lists, audio typing, diary management, answering patient queries alongside other administrative and secretarial tasks.


Responsibilities

* Book theatre lists
* Carry out audio typing
* Manage diaries
* Answer patient queries and perform other administrative and secretarial tasks as required


Qualifications and skills

* Proven secretarial and administrative experience
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Competent audio typist with robust working knowledge of Microsoft packages
* Understanding of NHS Waiting Times (desirable)
* Flexible and motivated; able to work independently and as part of a team
