Under your leadership your team will be responsible for sourcing, developing and buying a commercial, comprehensive and balanced range within the parameters of the businesses margin goals, price architecture and seasonal timing. What we are looking for

Requirements

1. Ability to identify commercially viable products that support and maintain the integrity of the brand
2. Ability to think imaginatively and generate new ideas to benefit the business.
3. Ability to effectively negotiate with others in order to secure a mutually beneficial outcome, whilst maintaining integrity of the brand
4. The ability to learn quickly identify issues, focussing on solutions be being open-minded, thinking laterally, then generating options before making timely and relevant decisions
5. Display delegation skills, priorities within delegated tasks and manage deadlines
6. Deputise for the Senior Buyer when needed for agreed periods
7. Practice excellent time management skills and ability to cope under pressure

Role Specific

13. Deliver a balanced commercial range, which reflects the integrity of the brand and delivers a continuous profit growth
14. Maximise commercial opportunities and minimise areas of risk by regularly reviewing performance and trends and reacting accordingly
15. Purchase agreed products/ranges, through a reliable and flexible supplier base ensuring price, quality and fashionability meet requirements and reinforce the brand
16. Develop the best commercial range for the target market, ensuring that the range is consistent with our brand and fulfils the needs of the customer, working closely with the design and development team and brief
17. Pro-actively identify possible areas of commercial risk and recommend, plan and implement appropriate action to minimise impact
18. Works confidently within the brand strategy, objectives and financial targets using these in buying decisions
19. Has strong supplier relationships, understands manufacturing processes fully and uses knowledge of suppliers strengths and weaknesses to develop product with the right source
20. Identify emerging trends quickly and react accordingly
21. Think imaginatively and generate new ideas to benefit the business
22. Has a thorough technical knowledge of footwear
23. Any other duties that maybe required

24. Ensure all agreed operating standards are adhered to and that all team members are fully conversant with these standards
25. Manages and motivates the team and provides clear vision and direction for the future, acting as a role model at all times
26. Develop staff, encouraging them to learn and maximise their potential and achieve high levels of performance. Guide and motivate them through their competencies
27. Influences and communicates confidently and effectively to build strong relationship
28. Ability to plan and prioritise for all areas of the job role, organising resources effectively, implementing plans then continuously measuring and reviewing progress
