Job Description:
As a Software Developer (Laravel+React) at Planet Education Networks (PEN), you will lead the rebuilding (conversion from vanilla PHP web application) of our Student Management System, leveraging Laravel and React technologies. This role is pivotal in driving our system's evolution, demanding expertise in both backend and frontend development.
Responsibilities:
* Rebuilding (conversion from vanilla PHP web application) of Student Management System using Laravel and React, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and maintainability.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
* Architect robust solutions, implementing best practices and design patterns.
* Develop and maintain backend features using Laravel, including APIs, authentication, and data management.
* Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React, ensuring an exceptional user experience.
* Optimise performance, security, and reliability across the system.
* Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
* Mentor team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
* Coordinate with external partners and vendors as needed.
* Submit well written pull requests for best practices, and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality guidelines.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in full-stack development, with expertise in Laravel and React.
* Strong understanding of system architectures, design patterns, and best practices.
* Hands-on experience in rebuilding and scaling complex systems.
* Proficiency in backend development using Laravel, including RESTful APIs, authentication, database management, caching, and queues.
* Expertise in frontend development using React, including state management (Redux, Context API) and component lifecycle.
* Familiarity with modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.
Nice to Have:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Experience with other PHP frameworks (Symfony, Zend, etc.).
* Familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, etc.).
* Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, etc.).
