Quality Engineer
Location: Stourbridge
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:00 (flexibility required)

We are looking for a proactive and driven Quality Engineer to support and enhance our client's commitment to continuous product quality improvement. This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing/foundry environment, where you will play a key part in maintaining high-quality standards, resolving issues, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of consistent product quality by analysing performance, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement across the business.
* Analyse and report quality data to identify trends and support improvement activities
* Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, and corrective action tracking
* Manage internal and external quality issues, including rejects, scrap, and customer returns
* Mentor and engage employees to improve quality ownership at all levels
* Support the implementation and maintenance of process controls and quality standards
* Produce and maintain quality documentation such as SOPs and quality alerts
* Conduct inspections and process audits to ensure compliance across operations
* Maintain accurate quality records and communicate performance to stakeholders
* Work collaboratively with production teams to drive a "quality first" culture
What We're Looking for:
Essential:
* Experience with quality systems, standards, and problem-solving tools
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report data
* Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to improvement
* IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office
Desirable:
* Foundry or manufacturing experience (ideally ductile iron)
* Knowledge of Lean and root cause analysis methodologies
* Awareness of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
