Family Solicitor - Permanent
Family Solicitor Person Specification & Requirements:
* Experience in advising on a variety of Family matters
* Strong time-management and ability to manage own caseload
* Advocacy experience is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge and experience of Legal Aid
* Genuine passion for Family law
* Commercially minded
* Personable and confident/articulate communicator
* Pro-active and can do attitude
* Own referral source would be a distinct advantage
* Panel membership or working towards would be a distinct advantage
KeyResponsibilities of the Family Solicitor:
1. Responsible for earning fees by actively working towards individual and departmental targets and objectives as set by HOD
* Private and Public matters
* Domestic Abuse
* Non-molestation
2. CCMS applications, amendments and POAs
3. Arrange and attend meetings with clients ensuring a professional service and excellent client care standards
4. Negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectives
5. Attend court hearings, prison visits, police stations and any other off-site requirements
6. Provide advocacy
7. Draft legal documents and various court applications
