6‑Month Contract | ASAP StartRate: Up to £300 per dayHays are supporting a well‑established charity organisation in Plymouth that is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join the team on a 6‑month contract, starting as soon as possible.This is a key leadership role, providing financial oversight, stability and support during a period of transition. The organisation offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of on‑site and remote working.Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and oversee the day‑to‑day financial operations of the organisation
2. Ensure accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reporting
3. Manage budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
4. Maintain strong financial controls and ensurepliance with charity regulations
5. Support statutory accounts preparation and liaison with auditors
6. Provide clear financial insight and advice to senior leadership and trustees
7. Line manage and support the finance team
About You
8. Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
9. Charity sector and/or localernment experience is essential
10. Strong technical accounting knowledge and hands‑on approach
11. Confident working in fast‑paced or changing environments
12. Excellent stakeholder management andmunication skills
13. Available to start immediately or at short notice
