Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing EL/PL team.
This is a new role in an established team, you will be a confident Litigation Executive/Solicitor with 3 years’ experience in dealing with Employers, Occupiers and Public Liability matters. You will have conduct of around 80-100 fast track cases. You will be targeted on both the settlement of cases and issuing Court proceedings at the correct juncture, as well as customer survey scores.
You must be confident in working to a case plan and setting estimated settlement times on all cases, ensuring cases progress well and smoothly towards conclusion.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
12. Running of 80-100 litigation files, which will include mostly Employer’s, Public and Occupier’s liability cases but may also include some RTA cases
13. Providing regular client updates
14. Reporting to your Team Leader and Head of Department
15. Arrange medical appointments and review medical reports
16. Carry out quantum reviews and case valuations
17. Perform Risk Assessments during the life of the case and report to the ATE provider with updates
18. Review and take instructions from the client upon receipt of offers
19. Understand the correct juncture to make offers
20. The ability to time record accurately
21. Maximising costs
22. Court document drafting and preparation of court bundles
23. Drafting briefs to counsel
24. Must be familiar with current legislative provisions
25. A competent and working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
26. Drafting witness statements to a high standard
27. Arranging and undertaking some advocacy
28. To act at all times with honesty and integrity
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
29. Good experience running cases from start to end and utilising the Court process if settlement cannot be reached.
30. Solid knowledge of Part 7 and Part 8 Civil Procedure Rules
31. Ability and confidence to conduct application hearings and CMCs
32. Knowledge of pre-action disclosure processes
33. Appropriate experience in EL/PL cases
34. Excellent organisation and file management skills
35. Excellent communication skills

37. The ability to work with a case management system

39. Must be able to work as part of a team structure as well as autonomously
40. Articulate drafting of written communication
