About the Role
We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to work full-time on a 1:1 basis with students in secondary schools across South Gloucestershire.
This 1:1 Teaching Assistant role involves supporting students who may have special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), or other additional learning needs. You will play an important role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and make progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Providing dedicated 1:1 support to individual students
2. Supporting students with SEN, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
3. Helping students stay engaged in lessons
4. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
5. Encouraging independence and positive behaviour
6. Monitoring and reporting on student progress
Essential Requirements
7. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
8. Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
9. Must be available to work full-time
10. Must be a driver with access to a vehicle
11. Strong behaviour management skills
12. DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
