Due to expansion of our services, we are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated SEN Teacher to deliver online lessons to pupils living within our children's residential homes. The role will be based at our Head Office in Belper (Derbyshire).

Our friendly and successful provision supports a number of vulnerable young people aged 7 to 18 years, with special education needs.

About the role:

We are looking for outstanding, committed and motivated individuals to contribute to the development of teaching and learning and curriculum.

Pupils seeking online support may be unable to access on engage in a mainstream/onsite provision.

We aim to provide a range of education routes and qualifications, including Entry Level Certificates, Functional Skills, vocational studies, GCSE and A Levels.

A flexible approach with a can-do ethos is essential, as is drive, enthusiasm and sense of humour.

The successful candidate will:

* Be adaptable, innovative and child focused
* Be able to engage with their pupils and devise the best routes for them
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
* Have experience in supporting young people who have special educational needs - essential
* Have proven experience in working with young people that challenge - essential
* Have experience in delivering online/virtual lessons - desirable

Requirements for a SEN Teacher:

* The ability to deliver lessons in core subjects (such as math and English)
* Sound curriculum knowledge
* A committed, conscientious and passionate approach
* Dedication to support inclusion
* The ability to plan, evaluate and monitor learning and progress
* The ability to differentiate all aspects of learning to promote inclusion and attainment
* The ability to build good relationships with young people and staff members
* Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and use time effectively
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations
