We are currently looking for a Plumber to join our team in Wokingham.
You will be expected to carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation works in tenants' homes and void properties within a social housing environment.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, within deadlines, and in line with health and safety regulations, delivering excellent customer service throughout.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Carry out all aspects of domestic plumbing maintenance, including:
* Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing leaks and blockages.
* Replacing taps, ball valves, pipework, traps, cisterns, and radiators.
* Installing or repairing sinks, baths, showers, toilets, and water heaters
* Support planned maintenance programs, such as kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
* Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied and vacant domestic properties, including:
* Fixing leaks and blockages
* Replacing taps, ball valves, cisterns, and radiators
* Repairing or installing hot and cold water systems
* Bathroom and kitchen plumbing works
* Carry out first and second fix plumbing on planned refurbishments.
* Conduct basic fault-finding and diagnostics.
* Ensure all plumbing work complies with water regulations and relevant standards.
* Accurately complete job tickets, time sheets, and compliance paperwork.
* Operate handheld devices for receiving and updating job information.
* Maintain van stock levels and keep tools and equipment in good working order.
* Deliver high levels of customer care and professionalism in tenants’ homes.
* Identify and report safeguarding concerns, property condition issues, or follow-on works as required.
* Comply with all health and safety legislation and company policies.
Skills/Experience:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification
* Demonstrable experience in domestic plumbing work
* Understanding of health and safety in occupied homes
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and manage daily workload
