PSR Rail Team are recruiting for a Permanent Senior Design Engineer role in Derby. This will be working for established contractor within the telecoms and electrical industry. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for producing Electrical Power & Plant (E&P) design deliverables across the full Network Rail project lifecycle. This includes feasibility studies, outline and detailed design stages, through to project handback documentation. You will be expected to plan and undertake site surveys to inform design development and contribute to the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary rail projects. Strong collaboration, coordination, and communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Produce E&P design deliverables across all GRIP / PACE stages Plan, lead, and undertake site surveys Coordinate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams Ensure designs comply with Network Rail, British, and European standards Apply CDM and CSM hazard management principles throughout the design process Check and review design outputs against contractual and technical requirements Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors Support project bids and tender submissions Plan and manage design budgets, resources, and delivery programmes Mentor and develo...
