As a Master Technician, your role will be the focal point in the depots for technical issues and diagnostic problems, forming the interface between engineers and the technical & systems manager, and will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs and advice on engines, gearboxes, axles and electrical faults including body systems As a team, we are dedicated to working towards delivering a safe, reliable, clean and efficient service to meet the needs of our customers. Carry out diagnostic tests on a wide range of company vehicles and equipment. Notify the Technical and Systems Manager of faults identified within their area of expertise. Advise the Engineering Manager on technical issues within the garage. Draft reports on the performance and failure of engines, gearboxes, axles, electrics for the Technical Team. Carry out projects/trials on behalf of the Engineering Director/Technical and Systems Manager. Develop and maintain effective communication and relationships with chassis and body manufacturers, DVSA, FTA & Buses., Requirements: Minimum five years experience OR have an NVQ Level 3 in PSV/HGV (or equivalent qualification) Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic equipment and its applications. In depth technical knowledge of major components fitted to Company fleet.
