Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant

We're recruiting for a growing professional services business in Maidstone who are seeking a Bookkeeper / Admin Assistant to join their team.
This is a hands-on role combining finance support with day-to-day office administration, perfect for someone who enjoys variety and being at the centre of operations.
The Role:
* Maintaining accurate financial records – invoices, reconciliations, ledgers
* Supporting VAT returns, payroll, and cashflow reporting
* Liaising with suppliers, clients, and external accountants
* Credit control and accounts receivable follow-up
* Office administration including diary management, correspondence, and filing
* Supporting project teams with ad-hoc admin and documentation
About You:
* Proven bookkeeping experience (Xero)
* Strong numeracy and attention to detail
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel especially)
* Positive, proactive, and confident working in a small but busy team
* Must be fully office-based in Maidstone (no hybrid option)
Package:
* Salary £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
* Monday–Friday office hours
