Location: JCB World Parts Centre
Apprenticeship: Level 4 Software Developer
Contract: Full time apprenticeship (earn while you learn)
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer Apprentice to join our LiveLink Telematics team at the JCB World Parts Centre.
LiveLink is JCB’s global telematics platform, providing real time machine data, diagnostics, and performance insights for construction and agricultural equipment across the world. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in technology, problem solving, and software development, who wants to learn how digital systems support connected machines at scale.
You will gain hands on experience in a professional software development environment while working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the LiveLink Telematics team, you will be involved in a wide range of software development activities, including:
•Supporting the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications used within the LiveLink platform
•Writing and maintaining high quality, well documented code under the guidance of experienced developers
•Assisting with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues
•Working with APIs, databases, and cloud based systems to process and manage telematics data
•Participating in Agile development activities such as daily stand ups, sprint planning, and reviews
•Collaborating with developers, engineers, and product teams across the business
•Learning secure, reliable, and scalable software development practices
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship with structured training, mentoring, and on the job learning.
