You will be responsible for preparing robust monthly accounts, analysing trends that inform strategic direction, producing insightful reports for senior leadership, managing complex reconciliations, supporting audits, contributing to budgeting processes, and responding flexibly to ad-hoc requests. * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of management accountants by setting clear objectives, conducting regular performance reviews, and supporting their professional growth through coaching and guidance.
* Manage the outsourced management accounting team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services in line with agreed service level agreements while maintaining high standards.
* Allocate tasks effectively within the team to guarantee high-quality output and nurture a collaborative culture focused on shared success.
* Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and the outsourced team by proactively resolving issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare and review monthly management accounts with meticulous attention to accuracy, completeness, and timeliness to support business needs.
* Conduct detailed analysis of financial performance including variance analysis and trend identification to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
* Oversee weekly and monthly margin reconciliations ensuring reported margins are accurate and weighted average cost calculations are reliable.
* Produce comprehensive Board reporting packs tailored to meet evolving business requirements with clarity and insight.
* Take full ownership of the balance sheet for the main trading entity by ensuring all reconciliations are current, accurate, well-documented, and compliant with best practices.
* Provide financial support and guidance to Finance Business Partners and budget holders enabling informed decision-making throughout the organisation.
