Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker should actively contribute to the health and well-being of patients, staff and service users and be able to communicate effectively with sensitivity and compassion. They should be able to work independently within their sphere of nursing while under the supervision of registered nurses. Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Workers should demonstrate a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific skills and tasks delegated by the registered nurse and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies at UHNM. They will be required to undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.

Essential criteria
* Educated to GSCE level or Level 2 equivalent, including Maths and English
* Hold a Care Certificate
* Evidence of professional development activity undertaken in relevant areas
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, access and Power-point
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Minimum of 12 months care experience
* Ability to cope with stress
* Ability to work as part of the wider team
* Able to utilise initiative
* Ability to organise and follow systems and processes
* Ability to manage time and achieve tasks in a timely manner
Skills
Essential criteria
* Emotional resilience; the post holder will at times be exposed to distressing and emotional circumstances
* Ability to cover a variety of shifts over 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays
* Positive mindset in respect of supporting organisational change; learning, and continuous improvement.
