Sports Coach (Community-Based, 1:1 Support)
Are you a passionate, energetic Sports Coach who thrives on making a real difference? We’re looking for someone reliable and committed to supporting young people 1:1 in the community, using sport as a tool to re-engage and inspire.Various locations across Nottingham
Part-time hours with potential to increase to full-time
Competitive hourly rate - based on experience
Start Date: September 2025
The Role:
You’ll be working directly with young people on a 1:1 basis, many of whom may be disengaged from education or have experience with social, emotional or behavioural difficulties (EBD). Using your skills and creativity, you’ll deliver tailored sports sessions, encourage positive routines, and help build confidence and structure into their day.
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience as a Sports Coach, PE Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker or Mentor
Background supporting young people with EBD/behavioural needs or SEN
Confident working independently in a community setting
Resilient, reliable, and consistent in your approach
Flexible and open to part-time hours with the potential to grow into more
An understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one)
