Role Description
The Export Control and General Administrator role is a part-time position (c20 hours per week) based on-site at our Washington facility and is to support the business in controlling export control related processes and general administrative activities with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail. To be self-motivated, conscientious, determined, and take pride in the work.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing export control activities to ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations
* Maintaining accurate export control documentation and records
* Ensuring End User Undertakings are controlled
* Performing Restricted Party Screening checks on clients and suppliers
* Dealing with incoming correspondence
* Creating and managing documents within the Business Management System
* Controlling stock of raw materials
* Placing purchase orders and processing purchase invoices
* Data entry tasks into personnel databases and records
* Reviewing and processing expense claims
* Supporting and organising company events such as team meetings, wellbeing and community activities and company meeting events
* Management reserve the right to assign or re-define duties and instruct the post holder to carry out any other duty commensurate with this post.
Education/Skills/Experience
* 3 years’ experience working on international trade and export matters
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Working with ERP systems
* IT literate in MS packages
* Time management skills being able to prioritise workload effectively
Preferred:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience
* Dealing with HMRC trade audits
* Stock control
* Understanding of GDPR
