What you’ll be doing:

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience of working in potentially high-risk environments / and or demonstrate transferrable skills and experience
* Assist and positively influence stakeholders in their planning, management, monitoring, investigation and assurance activities
* Ensure compliance and continuous improvement in SHE and wellbeing
* Practical experience of supporting management of Health and Safety risks and / or processes in a high-risk environment
The role holder is required to gain one or more of the following QCF / NQF level 3 qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
* Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health Practice
* NEBOSH or IEMA Certificate in Environment Management
* Equivalent qualifications in Safety, Health and / or Environment subject
Desirable:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
* Audit and investigation skills

The SHE Team:
This position is designed to support the development of individuals entering the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) profession, particularly those with transferrable skills seeking to progress into SHE Advisor roles. As a SHE Associate, you will play a vital role in promoting and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, contributing to on the UK’s most advanced engineering programmes – the construction and delivery of Nuclear Submarines. You’ll gain valuable experience while providing professional SHE advice in a highly regulated and technical complex setting. We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
