Electrical Controls Engineer Cheshire / North West System Integrator - Permanent - £40-55k Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Controls Engineer to join a Cheshire based systems integrator. The successful Engineer will ensure everything is built and installed to the companys standards, providing technical accountability. Please note this isnt a design or programming focused role, so an Electrical Controls Engineer whos worked in an end-user environment could be well suited. Electrical Control Engineers who are drives / PLC biased or EC&I biased, could be equally well suited too. Key aspects of the Electrical Controls Engineer position include; Electrical Controls Engineers will need a UK driving licence and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship Surveying customer sites to determine electrical and control solutions (typically day trips in the North West and Midlands) - estimate one site visit per week; most customers are within a 2-hour drive of the office Review drawings, specifying control panels, cable and containment routes, power and networking and provide to panel builders Able to work across multiple technology platforms including PLC, HMI & Variable Speed Drives Conduct FATs Preparation of cost proposals; including specifying hardware, costing hardware and electrical equipment Developing project documentation including I/O schedules, hardware/panel design & test specifications, cable/termination schedules Electrical Controls Engineer will be mainly office based Company is big on training if you feel you meet most of whats described, but there are some gaps that would require some training, apply! Electrical Controls Engineer will have some of the following technical experience; Experience specifying, configuring and/or commissioning Variable Speed Drives Familiar with Motor Starters DOL, Star/Delta/Soft Start Working Knowledge of BS7671 IET Wiring regulations Working Knowledge of BS EN 60204-1 Machinery Safety Standards The office location is commutable from most of Cheshire, including places such as Manchester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Warrington, Stockport, Widnes, Chester and Northwich.
