SEND Lecturer – Specialist Post-16 Provision New Malden Start Date: 13 April 2026 Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 4:30pm Salary: £37,000 – £47,000 per annum We are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded SEND College in New Malden, providing specialist education for learners aged 16–25 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and a range of complex needs. The College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Lecturer to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis from April 2026. The Role As a SEND Lecturer, you will deliver tailored, high-quality teaching that supports learners in developing the skills they need for adulthood. Your focus will include Functional Skills, Life Skills, and Employability pathways, with all learning carefully aligned to EHCP targets and individual aspirations. You will be part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, working closely with therapists, learning support staff, and families to ensure each learner receives a holistic and personalised educational experience. Core Responsibilities * Plan and deliver creative, accessible lessons that meet a diverse range of needs * Adapt teaching approaches for students with ASD, PMLD, and complex learning profiles * Create, implement and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) * Track and evidence progress towards EHCP outcomes * Participate in annual reviews and maintain effective communication with families and professionals * Encourage independence, communication development and emotional regulation About You * Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or CertEd) * Have experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs * Demonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills * Embrace a person-centred and inclusive teaching philosophy What’s on Offer * A permanent role within a specialist and supportive setting * Access to an experienced, collaborative multi-disciplinary team * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities * The chance to make a genuine and lasting difference in the lives of young people transitioning into adulthood
