Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Goods In Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, checking and storing goods as required. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate stock records, keeping a tidy stores and assisting with various operational tasks. Our workshops work a basic 39 hours per week - Monday to Thursday.
Duties
* Receive goods from both external and internal suppliers.
* Accurately Manage inventory using our Factory Management System to track stock levels and locations.
* Check incoming goods for both quality and quantity ensuring they are identified correctly and fit for use.
* Pick parts in preparation for works orders and distribute to the relevant manufacturing department.
* Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfilment of works orders and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in an engineering manufacturing environment.
* Ability to use warehouse and stock management systems.
* Strong handling skills of all material types including use of forklift.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawing enabling identification of products.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating initiative.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* A commitment to maintaining safety standards within the workplace.
