Contract Quality Engineer – Aerospace | Outside IR35 | To Dec 2026
£45 Ltd per hour
Some contracts fill a gap.
Others genuinely shape how a business delivers engineering excellence.
I’m supporting a client entering a critical phase - the kind where quality isn’t a department, it’s the backbone of every manufacturing decision. They need a hands-on Quality Engineer who understands aerospace expectations and can confidently work between factory floor, suppliers, and international stakeholders.
This is a long-term engagement running through to the end of 2026, offering stability alongside meaningful technical influence.
The Environment
You’ll operate across engineering and manufacturing teams, ensuring compliance, resolving non-conformances, and strengthening processes where precision genuinely matters. Expect autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to shape standards rather than just follow them.
The role includes 30–40% travel to Geneva, working directly with partners and suppliers.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting and maintaining AS9100 compliant quality processes
* Investigating and resolving non-conformances & root cause analysis
* Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams
* Supplier quality engagement & on-site audits
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Acting as a key quality interface with international stakeholders
* Ensuring documentation, traceability and process robustness
Experience Needed
* Aerospace sector quality engineering experience
* Strong manufacturing / engineering background (not purely documentation)
* Working knowledge of AS9100 standards
* Comfortable in supplier & customer-facing situations
* Able to travel internationally (Geneva 30–40%)
* French language skills desirable (not essential but beneficial)
