Nuclear Safety Engineer – Multiple Roles (Consultant to Principle Level)
Location: Remote opportunities with offices in Corsham & Warrington. Occasional travel to client sites.

Role
Ebeni is recruiting several bright, dynamic and energetic Nuclear Safety Engineers to provide safety, risk and licensing support across naval and civil nuclear programmes, including Small Modular Reactors and submarine facilities. The role offers opportunities to manage and contribute to key safety functions, from system specialisms to operations, decommissioning and all aspects of safety case authorship and independent peer review.
* Lead tasks and manage smaller projects while fulfilling safety engineering activities as defined by Project Safety Plans and Safety Management Systems.
* Perform hazard analysis to define safety requirements and detailed system reviews to demonstrate that safety requirements can be met.
* Develop safety arguments and draft safety cases to support assurance and certification, identifying evidence that justifies safety arguments.
* Conduct Independent Peer and Periodic Safety Reviews for Nuclear Site Licensees and Design Authorities.
* Provide licensing support for civil and defence nuclear regulations, including Safety Assessment Principles and Security Assessment Principles.
* Undertake safety assessment using regulatory requirements, legislation, tools and techniques.
* Liaise with system developers, certification bodies, operators and engineering colleagues regarding safety matters.
Skills & Experience
* Nuclear Safety domain experience in Naval Nuclear (submarine systems or facilities), Nuclear Decommissioning or Nuclear Power Station New Build.
* Demonstrable experience applying safety and risk engineering processes to identify hazards, author safety cases, assess risk and implement controls.
* Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues through face‑to‑face, video call, telephone and email.
* Commitment to high quality standards, delivery focus and exceeding expectations.
* Excellent communication across all levels of the company, with negotiation, persuasion and listening abilities.
* Team player willing to support the development of the New Business Unit positively and constructively.
