Overview

Join our Revenues and Benefits Team as a Business Administrator Apprentice and gain real-world experience while studying towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. We offer 1 day a week dedicated to study time, monthly workshops at Frontier House Business Centre (M50 3SR), full support from experienced colleagues and mentors, and a chance to build your skills and confidence in a professional environment. Stockport Council holds a Visa sponsorship licence but this can only be used for certain roles and this campaign does not qualify. The council is committed to improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities, care leavers and ex-military personnel. As part of the Guaranteed Assessment Scheme you will be guaranteed to be shortlisted for Assessment if you meet both the criteria for the scheme and the essential job role criteria. Responsibilities

* Part of a friendly, supportive team helping to manage customer accounts and provide excellent service.
* Deliver high standards of customer service and support across Revenues and Benefits work areas.
* Assist with daily administration tasks to support team objectives.
* Work collaboratively with other services to ensure customer needs are met.
* Respond to customer enquiries in a clear and professional manner.


Qualifications

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability and confidence to deal with a wide range of customers over the phone and work well with other team members and services
* Effective organisational skills
* Excellent written English
* Ability to work accurately to deadlines
* Ability to work flexibly to support the team's core work and other objectives
* Experience of using office IT applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
* This apprenticeship is designed for individuals at the start of their business administration career. Those with significant prior work experience in administration or a Level 4 (or above) qualification in business or a related subject may not be eligible for funding and therefore cannot apply.
