Pattern of Work – Days / Shifts
What you need to know about the role
As a Stores Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of stores and spares services by:
* Receiving and unloading deliveries
* Processing goods received
* Picking and Issuing stock as required
* Conducting stock checks
* Operating various forklift trucks
* Maintaining store cleanliness and organization
* Managing correspondence
* Distributing materials (including spares, consumables, oils, and greases) across the site
* Optimising store efficiency
* Ensuring security and accuracy of spares stock
Health and safety is our number one priority, you will be responsible for following workplace health and safety standards contributing to building a safe work environment and achieving our goal of Zero Harm to all employees.
This role is primarily based at our Skinningrove site, requiring 42 hours per week, including some weekend work and overtime as required during plant shutdown periods. Initially the role is for day shift with potential of transfer to shifts.
What we need to know about you
We're looking for someone with previous experience of working in an engineering stores and handling a variety of consumable, engineering spares stock with some COSHH materials being in bulk and containerised form. This is a physically demanding role and involves lifting, bending and use of steps to access racking.
Some of the key skills for this role are working knowledge of stores, inventory management and stock control ERP systems (SAP), certification for counterbalance forklift trucks.
You need to have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, have an eye for detail and be well organised. Due to then nature of the role you must be health and safety conscious.
