Overview
Paralegal role at Eversheds Sutherland in Cardiff. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
* This is a hands on, client facing role within our core real estate team. You will have your own files and will take ownership of your matters and deal with them through to their conclusion. You will act primarily for a major transport client in its capacity as a major landowner granting leases in its standard form to tenants across its real estate portfolio.
* You will report into a Legal Director and Principle Associate and will also be supervised and assisted by other solicitors in the team.
* You are likely to be responsible for:
*
o Dealing with high volume, fast-paced work and transactions.
o Adhering to strict client key performance indicators.
o Client contact – transactional and relationship management including feeding into weekly and monthly client updates.
o Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of transactional documentation including leases, surrenders, lease renewals and licences.
Skills and experience
* Paralegal experience in an office environment is important
* Excellent academic qualifications
* A committed team player, demonstrating a proactive “can do” attitude.
* Experience of dealing with your own case load and meeting/managing deadlines
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Self motivation
* Ability to work under pressure in addition to being flexible and resilient
* Dedication to delivering excellent client service at all times
