NXT Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established professional services firm to recruit a Business Relationship Manager. This is a key, client-facing role focused on managing and developing long-term client relationships while delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with business owners, has strong commercial awareness, and takes pride in delivering a consistently high standard of service.
The Role
As a Business Relationship Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact. The role combines technical delivery with relationship management, commercial insight, and proactive support.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of approximately 50–100 clients
* Deliver a consistently high-quality, proactive client service
* Identify opportunities to add value and introduce additional services
* Ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and within agreed budgets
* Plan, prepare, review, and present financial accounts to a high standard
* Prepare business tax computations for review
* Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Maintain accounting records and management information as required
* Produce management reports and provide insight to improve profitability and cash flow
* Resolve client queries promptly and professionally
* Work closely with senior leadership to support business planning and development
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative changes
* Attend client premises where required and support ad-hoc projects
About You
* Experience within accountancy or professional services
* Strong relationship management and client-facing skills
* Commercially aware and confident discussing solutions with clients
* Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
* Comfortable using accounts preparation and reporting software
* Clear communicator with a professional, approachable manner
