You'll be responsible for the ongoing design of intricate jigs, fixtures, and tooling, while working closely with production engineering staff to resolve manufacturing concerns. Design Engineer Duties include - Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling in SolidWorks, from simple setups to complex automated systems. Develop prototypes (including 3D printed) and support high-volume production tooling. Create auxiliary tooling for manufacturing and assembly. Manage the full design process from concept to SOP. Provide technical support and resolve tooling, quality, and safety issues. Design Engineer desirable Skills and Experience - Proficiency in SolidWorks (parametric modelling, assemblies, 2D drawings). Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and pressure vessels would be an advantage. Relevant engineering education and/or training.
