Title: Inspection & Safeguarding Officer
Location: Regular travel across South Yorkshire, Midlands and Northampton
Hours: 37.5 (includes participation in SUI on-call rota)
Salary: £45,000 per annum + £5,800 car allowance

Join Anchor as an Inspection & Safeguarding Officer and play a key role in shaping care standards across our national portfolio. This is an opportunity to influence practice at scale, supporting services to not only meet, but exceed, regulatory expectations while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out thorough internal inspections across care and home care services, ensuring alignment with CQC standards and best practice.
2. Produce insightful, high-quality reports that highlight risks, showcase excellence, and identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Provide day-to-day guidance to colleagues on safeguarding matters, confidently identifying and escalating potential risks.
4. Contribute to national reporting on inspection and safeguarding trends, helping to inform regional and organisational improvements.
5. Support the ongoing development of internal inspection tools, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Who are we looking for?
6. Background in the care sector, with experience in inspection, auditing, governance, or quality assurance.
7. Confident with digital care planning (DCP) and digital medication systems (DMAR).
8. Knowledge of CQC Quality Statements, the Health & Social Care Acts (2008, 2012, 2014), the Mental Capacity Act (2005), and DoLS.
9. Ability to turn complex findings into clear, practical, and solution-focused insights.
10. A keen eye for quality with the ability to assess and articulate service performance with professionalism.
11. A collaborative partner, able to build strong relationships with colleagues and take a supportive, professional approach to driving high standards.
