About You
As Group Head of Change you will have overall accountability for the definition, management, coordination, delivery and communication of the group strategic change programme including the Chairing of the Strategic Change Committee. You will also be responsible for the project management of a portfolio of high-profile strategic projects alongside management responsibility, oversight and direction to the Group Change team. You will be able to balance the long term needs of the Group alongside dealing with immediate needs of the businesses.
As Group Head of Change you will play a critical role in driving forward the Groups’ change agenda to meet with its ambitions for growth, innovation, financial capacity and a positive culture. Delivering excellence in leadership, creating a high support, challenge environment where colleagues are inspired, enabled and empowered to do their best work and deliver on the Group and individuals businesses strategic objectives.
Responsibilities & Criteria
Key Responsibilities
* Accountability for the definition, management and delivery of the strategic change programme, in line with executive goals and ensuring it supports the defined business strategies.
* Effective oversight of the strategic and business change programmes through the centralised management oversight and reporting forum via chairing the Strategic Change Committee.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to define change objectives, communicate the vision, and secure buy-in from stakeholders. Work with change colleagues across the group businesses to enable efficient, consistent and successful change deliveries.
* Foster a culture of change awareness, readiness and adaptability across the Group.
* Manage and mature the PMO framework and function to ensure consistent high quality and consistent project delivery across the Group.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes including staying up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends in change management.
* Lead and mentor a team of change management professionals, providing guidance and support.
* Identify and assess potential risks and obstacles to change, developing mitigation plans to minimise disruption.
* Ensure allocated budgets are tightly and affectively managed.
Core Competencies
* A highly experienced change executive, ideally within pensions, financial services, or professional services.
* Ability to lead on the enablement of successful delivery of a complex change portfolio across the Group.
* Highly proficient in recognised project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or similar).
* Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets.
* Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of change professionals.
* Strong leadership, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Have extensive experience building, evolving and managing a PMO framework and team to enable consistent project delivery, governance models and budgetary control.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and succinctly to senior stakeholders, including C-suit audiences.
* Comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced, and compliance-focused environment.
Circumstances
Location: Belfast, Glasgow or London
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with additional hours as and when required.
* All roles are subject to a six-month probationary period and all prospective employees are required to complete an Access NI check.
* As part of the pre-hire process the successful candidate will be subject to reference checking security vetting.
