Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Creative Writing Tutor / Supervisor to run a Creative Writing Club at a primary school. This role offers children the chance to explore storytelling, develop writing skills, and express their creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
The club will run once a week (day to be confirmed), 3:30pm – 4:30pm (1 hour per week).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and engage a small group of primary-aged children in creative writing activities.
* Plan and deliver enjoyable, age-appropriate sessions that develop imagination, writing technique, and communication skills.
* Encourage confidence, creativity, and a love of writing.
* Maintain clear communication with parents and school staff regarding children's progress.
* Ensure the space and resources are safe, organised, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
* Experience teaching creative writing, literacy, or running writing clubs for children in schools or similar settings.
* Ability to motivate and inspire young learners in a structured yet fun way.
* Strong English communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
* A background in education, English, literature, or creative writing is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £32.00 per hour
