Role Responsibilities
* Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
* Supporting clients with VAT returns and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
* Using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records
* Liaising with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide advice
* Assisting with management accounts and forecasting for clients
* Supporting audit teams as required, contributing to the planning and execution of audit assignments
* Reviewing and mentoring the work of junior team members, helping them develop their skills

Candidate Requirements
* AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA/ACA or equivalent
* At least 1-2 years of experience in an accountancy practice
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and an understanding of tax regulations
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* A proactive attitude and a keen willingness to learn and develop
