M365 Solutions and Guidance Specialist
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to recruit an experienced M365 Solutions and Guidance Specialist to join our IT and Digital Services team.
Key Details
* Band G: £54,495 – £61,379 per annum
* Fixed Term Contract – 2 years
* Hybrid / Solihull Council House
Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the council’s digital transformation, helping services make the most of Microsoft 365 and AI‑enabled tools, including M365 Copilot. Reporting to the ICT Group Manager – Projects and Digital, you will provide expert advice and practical guidance on the effective use of Microsoft 365 across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with services to understand how they operate, identify opportunities to improve ways of working, and support the adoption of M365 tools that simplify processes and improve productivity.
* Support the safe, effective and consistent use of M365 Copilot and other AI‑powered functionality.
* Develop learning resources, lead engagement sessions, and support staff at all levels to build confidence in using digital tools.
* Ensure good information governance and compliance.
Qualifications
* A relevant ICT qualification or equivalent experience.
* Certified Trainer (MCT) status (or working towards).
* Strong experience working with Microsoft 365 applications.
* Proven ability to support and guide users in adopting new digital tools.
Skills and Capabilities
* Provide clear, practical advice on M365 solutions to a wide range of users.
* Communicate complex technical concepts in a way that is accessible.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders across services to drive digital adoption.
* Support organisational change and continuous improvement.
* Develop and deliver guidance, training or learning resources.
