A leading global Facilities Management provider is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a mechanical or electrical background to join their growing projects division. This role covers a diverse portfolio of works across the outskirts of London, delivering projects for a well-established and varied client base.
This is a genuinely varied role. One day you may be delivering an office fit-out, the next overseeing plant room works, accessibility upgrades, car park refurbishments, or other building improvement projects. The business delivers whatever projects their clients require, making this an ideal opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys variety, responsibility, and ownership.
The Role
- As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of mechanical and/or electrical projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple projects concurrently, typically valued between £100k and £1m
- Full P&L responsibility for assigned projects
- Producing and managing project programmes, budgets, and cost forecasts
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and internal delivery teams
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
- Managing risk, variations, and change control
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, statutory regulations, and company procedures
About You
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within Facilities Management, building services, or a similar construction environment
- A mechanical or electrical bias (either discipline considered)
- Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing project margins and P&L
- Experience delivering projects in live or occupied environments
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to travel to project sites across the outskirts of London, while being based in Reading or Surrey
