We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3/4 Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive team at schools around Suffolk for long term and short term. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to make a real difference in Lower Key Stage 2, fostering a love for learning and supporting children’s development in this crucial stage of their education.
As a Year 3/4 Teacher, you will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, helping pupils transition smoothly from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, while building their confidence, independence, and academic skills. This role begins June 2025.
Duties as a Year 3/4 Teacher:
* Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.
* Supporting pupils in developing their literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
* Encouraging independent learning while providing targeted support where needed.
* Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress and attainment.
* Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and resilience.
* Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils.
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and inclusive learning space.
* Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support pupil development.
* Taking part in school events, extracurricular activities, and CPD opportunities.
Ideal Year 3/4 Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 3 or 4 (desirable but not essential for ECTs).
* A passion for engaging and inspiring young learners.
* Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for behaviour.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Year 3/4 Teacher.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
