SITE SUPERVISOR – FIXED TERM, FULL TIME
LCMB are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to manage and deliver a major internal refurbishment within a listed building. The role will act as Principal Contractor under CDM 2015 and will be site-based for the duration of the project. The project is located in Bloomsbury, Central London.
The position is offered on a fixed-term basis, initially for six months (with potential to extend) and is open to either payroll employment or a CIS/day-rate arrangement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will take full responsibility for day-to-day site management and delivery. This includes acting as Principal Contractor, managing health and safety, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standard.
You will manage inductions, permits, RAMS, site records, and inspections. You will coordinate trades within a live, partially occupied or sensitive environment and ensure compliance with listed-building constraints and approvals. You will liaise closely with, and regularly report to: the client team, consultants, and statutory bodies as required. You will maintain site housekeeping, security, and access control at all times.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE
You will fulfil the duties of Principal Contractor under CDM 2015. You will lead site safety, toolbox talks, and briefings. You will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including HSE guidance and client policies. You will manage and monitor subcontractor performance and compliance.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will have proven experience supervising or managing refurbishment projects, ideally within listed or heritage buildings. You will be confident acting as Principal Contractor and managing multiple trades. You will have strong organisational and communication skills and be comfortable working to programme and quality targets.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
· SMSTS (or SSSTS with strong experience)
· CSCS (appropriate level)
· First Aid at Work
· Sound knowledge of CDM 2015
· CIS-registered (if operating on a day-rate basis)
· Experience of listed buildings or heritage environments is desirable
CONTRACT DETAILS
· Six-month fixed-term, full-time role (Monday–Friday)
· Payroll or CIS/day-rate considered
· Start required in January 2026
