About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Associate Production Manager to join our growing team. In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll oversee the day‑to‑day running of our manufacturing operations, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient production of bespoke specials across multiple dosage forms.
You’ll act as a key operational link between Manufacturing Technicians, Supervisors, and senior management, ensuring smooth workflow, high standards of GMP and MHRA compliance, and consistent achievement of production goals.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong cleanroom, GMP, and regulated‑manufacturing experience who is ready to step into a leadership role with real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operational Leadership
* Overall responsibility for meeting production output.
* Provide hands‑on leadership within cleanrooms and wider manufacturing areas.
* Oversee daily workflow planning, resource allocation, and staff deployment.
* Maintain cleanroom integrity and ensure adherence to hygiene, gowning, and environmental requirements.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
* Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with GMP, MHRA expectations, GDP, and company SOPs.
* Review production records for accuracy and completeness.
* Support validation activities, deviations, investigations, process changes, and audit readiness.
* Navigate the QMS effectively and contribute to CAPAs, Change Controls, and Deviations.
* Complete periodic reviews of SOPs and production documentation.
Team Leadership & Development
* Provide leadership to Supervisors, Senior Technicians, Checking Technicians, and Manufacturing Technicians.
* Conduct one‑to‑one meetings, support performance management, and oversee staff workload.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, return‑to‑work processes, and training delivery.
* Promote a positive, compliant, and safety‑focused culture aligned with company values.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Quality, Customer Services, Operations, and Maintenance teams to support smooth operational flow.
* Maintain equipment oversight and coordinate routine maintenance where required.
* Collect and analyse production metrics to monitor performance and identify trends.
Site Leadership Team Responsibilities
* Lead openly and transparently, promoting compliance, efficiency, and professional behaviours.
* Ensure manufactured products meet QMS and regulatory requirements.
* Act as a role model for health & safety, quality, and compliance.
* Represent the site with professionalism when interacting with visitors and customers.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven senior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of GMP, cleanroom behaviours, and MHRA requirements.
* Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills.
* Confident communicator with strong coaching and leadership abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel).
* Calm, proactive, and solutions‑focused under pressure.
* Strong practical judgment and problem‑solving skills.
* A collaborative team player who drives high standards.
