Job Description
PURPOSE
Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external clients. Additionally, provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services provided by Baker Group. Manage projects from design to owner training, maintaining and growing the “Client for Life” concept for existing and new clients.
Assist the team by providing inspiring day-to-day hands-on leadership of the Business Unit. Coach, mentor, and train future leaders. Provide sales support to secure potential sales. Responsible for project execution, documentation, financials, and client satisfaction. Perform related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Deep understanding of automation systems, construction, and a well-rounded background in mechanical and electrical systems and services.
* Deep understanding of Baker Group and collaboration with all Business Units.
* Offer and implement engineering solutions through engineering and field personnel.
* Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and pursue new opportunities for long-term revenue.
* Educate clients on Baker Group’s automation capabilities and cross-sell across business units.
* Use internal estimating software and standard product selections to develop solutions, review with team before client submission.
* Act as account manager or single point of contact during project execution.
* Attend scheduling meetings, assist with scheduling field labor.
* Participate in project meetings, communicate effectively regarding requests, proposals, coordination, reviews.
* Initiate turnover meetings discussing scope, safety, timelines.
* Procure subcontracts using documented formats and obtain multiple bids.
* Use standard documents for business development, proposals, turnovers, subcontracts, purchase orders, warranties.
* Manage project to ensure financial success.
* Accurate daily reporting of time and equipment.
* Coach and mentor project managers, engineers, and system engineers in Automation and other BUs.
* Assist with marketing materials and participate in training and education events.
* Lead Tier III Business Development pursuits.
* Contribute to the development of Core Processes and Standards.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Engineering.
* At least 10 years of experience in Automation and HVAC systems.
* Minimum 5 years managing automation projects and developing client relationships.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Successful passing of a background check may be required.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be exposed to normal office conditions. Physical requirements include prolonged sitting, occasional lifting of 20 pounds, field interactions requiring standing, walking, climbing stairs, and exposure to weather conditions.
