Research and Enterprise Office
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Post-Award team within the Research and Enterprise office, to provide financial and administrative support to the Research Grants Finance Managers for the University’s research grants and contracts activities. This post is a permanent, full-time position.
Duties of the Role
The post-holder will provide excellent, specialist, financial and administrative support to the Deputy Director (Research Support), Head of Post-Award, Research Grants Finance Managers and research community to maximise research grant and contract income; ensure compliance with the University’s and funders’ terms and conditions; prepare and submit timely claims to funders including the UK Research Councils, Charities, the European Union, and private sector clients.
Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will be highly numerate and have experience of financial systems and budgetary control; excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, whilst managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
