We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join the Senior Management Team at our Ilford Hospital. This is a key leadership role, responsible for delivering operational performance, supporting strategic growth and ensuring high-quality, efficient services across the hospital.
Working closely with the Hospital Director and senior colleagues, you'll lead service delivery, manage and lead key teams, oversee facilities and estates, and ensure the hospital meets its contractual, financial and quality objectives. What you'll be doing
As Our Operations Manager, You Will Be
Leading operational performance across the hospital to meet financial, quality and contract targets and requirements.
Managing and supporting key teams, including patient services and scheduling functions
Co-ordinate across consultant colleagues and teams to continually improve and deliver efficiency, utilisation and productivity.
Supporting budget management and working closely with finance colleagues on performance and investment plans
Driving service improvement, efficiency and new business opportunities
Managing relationships with external stakeholders, partners and commissioners
Overseeing facilities, estates, equipment maintenance and outsourced service providers
Ensuring compliance with regulatory, health and safety and governance standards
Participating in the senior manager on-call rota
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and high-quality patient care
What we'll look for in you
With your proven experience managing teams in a complex operations environment, you will also have:
Strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory frameworks
Experience managing budgets and interpreting financial and operational data
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead change, improve processes and deliver results
Strong IT skills and confidence using data to inform decisions
Experience in a healthcare setting (NHS or private sector) is desirable
A proactive, solutions-focused leader with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
