Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician Belfast (BT1) Salary c.£34K-£38K DOE McKinty Associates are pleased to be working with Belfast based telecoms service provider who have a requirement for an experienced Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician to join their team. This will be a varied role assisting with the day-to-day finance activities and reporting directly into the Financial Controller. Main duties will include Purchase invoices / supplier payments Support sales ledger activities, including raising invoices and credit control Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve account queries Bank reconciliations Staff expenses Assist in month-end and year-end procedures, including journal entries and accruals Help prepare VAT returns Financial reporting as required Provide general administrative support to the finance team and management Eligibility criteria: Professional accountancy qualification - Qualified Accounts Technician / Part Qualified Accountant Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes Previous experience in a similar role (3 years or more) Experience in accounts packages (Sage 200 desirable) Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, sumif, pivot tables etc) Experience of working on own initiative and as part of small team High level of organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Enthusiastic and positive attitude Excellent communicator and able to build relationships and rapport Applications for this role will be considered immediately with a view to placing the right individual ASAP, so please register your interest early.
