Our client is an established firm who offer professional civil and structural engineering services to a broad range of clients.
Their structures team has a requirement for a structural engineer on a full-time permanent basis to assist with structural design calculations and drawings on projects up to £5m in value.
You will be a confident engineer able to review work by other members of the team for licences, whilst managing projects and liaising with internal and external teams. Supervision / inspection of structural works on site will form part of your remit, and this will include all traditional materials.
Along with building structures design, the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of building defects with the ability to assess the specification of repairs of damage building failures including subsidence, fire damage and vehicle impact damage. You will carry out structural inspections of buildings failures and provide reports.
Your inspection experience should include assessment of buildings suffering structural distress, identifying cause & extent to include subsidence, roof spread, fire damage, explosion, overloading and deleterious material failure.
About you:
Degree in structural engineering
Keen to become Chartered MIStructE
Hold a valid UK driving licence to attend site visits
