The Emergency Department is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Patient Flow Co-Ordinator. Our Emergency Department is very busy and dynamic with over 300 patients a day attending for treatment. Our team is friendly, motivated and committed to providing a high quality, expert emergency service for the patients we treat. Main duties of the job The Patient Flow Co-Ordinator role is an important part of the team in managing the day to day flow of patients through the department. The role involves supporting the Co-ordinator and department by aiming to reduce preventable breaches of the Governments ED 4 hour turnaround time. IT skills and a good standard of general education are essential along with previous administration experience. Knowledge of Medical terminology is desirable. A knowledge of some of the issues that might cause delays to patient flow throughout the ED. Be able to use a computer competently including the use of Excell spreadsheets.
