We have an excellent opportunity for a Customer Safety Officerto join the Community Safety team at one of the North's leading home providers based in either their Stanley or Gosforth offices in Newcastle upon Tyne.

About the role
As a Customer Safety Officer, you will be responsible for managing any housing management-related issue that arises within our communal buildings relating to access and fire safety with an emphasis on compliance and your key responsibilities will include:
1. Providing support and relevant information to residents in relation to fire safety and keeping themselves safe within communal environments
2. Completing fire risk assessment actions and carrying out sterile environment inspections
3. Taking enforcement action where necessary
4. Working on targeting high-performance indicators and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
5. Working across all office locations and stock as necessary and occasionally working outside the normal working hours
About you
To be successful for the role of Customer Safety Officer, you must be / have:
6. In-depth understanding and knowledge of fire safety, estate management, tenancy enforcement and other compliance-related matters within a social housing environment
7. Experience in taking enforcement action, producing reports, statements and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload is essential
8. Experience in working and dealing with a variety of housing management and estate management issues in neighbourhoods and communities
9. Knowledge and experience of working in a housing environment and housing legislation are essential requirements of the role
10. Ability to work on your own initiative and carry out lone work in the community and in tenants’ homes
11. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential

For the role of Customer Safety Officer, there is an excellent salary on offer of £33,445 per annum plus a car payment of £2,152 per annum plus other benefits which include:
